More Christmas at Mema and Grandad's

Christmas Celebration - Christmas Breakfast
After waking up a very happy Wyatt on Christmas morning ("Yay Jesus" was his quote), we began a new tradition at our Christmas Breakfast table. In the spirit of adventure and beginning new traditions all in lieu of honoring our Lord and Savior, we started something that I believe will stick.
Wes read Isaiah 7:14-15 which says:
"Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. He will eat curds and honey when he knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right."
That's right. We ate curds and honey.
So much fun.
Yay Jesus!

Glory to the Newborn King
I have thought so much about sending Christmas cards out and have not been able to get to it, but if I did, these are the words I would say. I believe this familiar carol says it so perfectly - glorifies Immanuel in the highest - and brings me to my knees in worship! I just want to bring glory in the highest to our Newborn King. That is my prayer for we in our family and for those of you who might read this..."Hail the heavenborn Prince of Peace. Hail the Son of righteousness!"
Christ, by Highest heaven adored
Christ the Everlasting Lord
Late in time behold Him come
Offspring of the Favored One
Veiled in flesh, the Godhead see
Hail the incarnate Deity
Pleased, as man with men to dwell
Jesus, our Immanuel
Hark the Herald Angels Sing
Glory to the Newborn King
Hail the heaven born Prince of Peace
Hail the Son of righteousness!
Light and life to all He brings
Risen with healing in His wings
Mild He lays His glory by
Born that man no more may die
Born to raise the sons of Earth
Born to give them second birth
Hark the Herald Angels Sing
Glory to the Newborn King
The Living Nativity
