How Did This Happen?

Since I've been slightly horomonal, I've taken (what some might call) aggressive measures in keeping Brighton, our dog, out of the living room. Particularly when we are away. The only problem is...he gets out. No matter, what I do, he gets out.
Seriously, how did he get out??

before i left the house...

when i returned

See That Daddy?

Had to share.

Back From the North Pole

Okay, so it wasn't exactly the North Pole, but it was -1 degree when everyone went skiing. Because of being prego, I was not allowed to partake in such fun wintry glee. But I managed to recover the loss with a full day of reading and movies!

"Movies?" was the response from Wes. An exclaimed "YES" was my response, followed by a quick "I may never have the opportunity to do this again!"

I managed to find a lot of comfort

in sitting by the fire

and enjoying the splendor of

His glorious, icy creation.

"From whose womb has come the ice?
And the frost of heaven, who has given it birth?"
Job 38:29

A Funny Video on Christmas Day

So Wes's parents gave him this flip camera - which Wes immediately put into use. This is among his first videos, taken ofcourse Christmas morning, seconds after he opened it. I thought it was hilarious and wanted to share it with you. I think Jeremy, Grandad and Wyatt's expressions are particularly priceless! Enjoy!

More Christmas at Mema and Grandad's

Nana got a new deviled-egg christmas platter. I'm pretty sure she liked it, despite the look on her face :)

Jean and Joyce got new purses

and what would Christmas be without a new pig for Wes!

...and Wyatt got a pig, too!

and for Jeremy, a penguin!

Christmas Celebration - at Mema and Grandad's House

So after our family of 3 Christmas, we packed up and headed down the street to Mema and Grandad's house (Wes's parents) where we opened even more gifts...

Wes got a "Flip," which he almost immediately began trying out on the family.

Jeremy, a shirt and tie

Katey, a new purse!

Mema, some new stadium seats for the Bowl Game! Go Tigers!

Grandma Nig, a new platter!

Christmas Celebration - Just the Three of Us

After breakfast, we all went into the living room where we opened gifts from and to one another. With many eager sounds and thankful smiles, Wyatt enjoyed his choo choo train while Wes and I opened up our stockings. Wyatt eventually opened up his, too.

nothing says "i love you" like some new gloves and a hat!
