Have you ever noticed who the bad guy is in all the children's stories? Little Red Riding Hood, The Three Little Pigs, etc.

That's right.

Always a wolf.

Well, Wyatt has feared a wolf for quite a while, thanks to these stories. Even stories from the bible that introduce the shepherd role depict the wolf as the enemy. We've had many talks about fear and what the Lord tells us about fear. "Do Not Fear a Wolf," Wyatt's response has often been.

Wyatt has long loved the horse and he has spoken highly of the big creature since he could talk. Needless to say, yesterday, I was very surprised when after I candidly asked Wyatt about his favorite animal, it had all changed. That is precisely why I made this a post. Now, his favorite animal is also his greatest fear? Hmmmmm.

And so, the surprises in life continue...
