A Visit with Shelley

We had a visit from a dear friend a few days ago. Her name is Shelley and she is so special to us. Wes and I had the pleasure of meeting her 10 years ago at a Disciple Now retreat, when Wes and I both were college students at Clemson. The last decade has given Shelley a precious journey including becoming Miss Florence, Miss South Carolina, participating in Miss America, living in Nashville and now wonderfully finishing her education at Clemson. Go Tigers! She has risen above considerable lows in her short life. But to see her in the present, and always for that matter, is to see a young woman in love with Her Savior. And in our sweet visit, I saw the hope of His calling in her eyes. She is so dear to us. We love her very much.


We just had no idea how quickly our little one would also fall in love with her :)
