Why God Made Little (and big) Boys...

God made a world out of his dreams,

Of magic mountains, oceans and streams,

Prairies and plains and wooded land,

Then paused and thought, "I need someone to stand

On top of the mountains, to conquer the seas,

Explore the plains and climb the trees,

Someone to start out small and grow,

Sturdy, strong like a tree" and so...

He created boys, full of spirit and fun,

To explore and conquer, to romp and run,

With dirty faces, banged up chins,

With courageous hearts and boyish grins.

three boys enjoying a very "boy" thing

but what is that "thing"?

found in our yard...

held captive for a little while...

then released BACK into the world...

I love the boys poem. I certainly am beginning to understand the many differences between my little boy and my friends little girls. I can't believe that was a snake!!! So scary. Luke is really into worms right now. We have to look for them every time we are outside. Want to look for bugs together soon?
